Well, there's not a lot going on today. Yesterday I met up with Roger. We hang out for a little while, had dinner, and watched some Anime. Today I just went to class and bought some envelopes. Like I said, not a lot going on.

Well, I finally broke down and did it. My paper? Oh, yeah... well, that too, but that's not what I'm talking about. I mean I finally bought a new case for my Nokia 3390 mobile phone. The phone now has a metallic blue case with chrome silver finish and spring down button cover, as oppposed to the standard dark blue case with white trim. Sure, it was kinda expensive, and the button cover seems like it might break quite easily, but it's just so cool!

Well, I managed to make it through the boredom of last night, and I've been busy this morning. Oh, of course it's not homework I've been busy with! How silly of you.
No, I've been working on customizing Counter-Strike. More specifically, I've been changing the .tga files that show what my player and weapons look like. I changed them to match all the reskins I've done. Why? Because I keep forgetting what I've reskinned! It's not too hard if you know what you're doing, but it's time-consuming, especially since I had to relocate where on the Internet I downloaded all the files and use those screenshots the sites have to make my .vga files. I'm happy with what I've got.
Oh, and if you understood any of that jargon I just typed, good for you!

I'm bored out of my mind. Chris (my roommate) and Dan (one of the guys who lives in the other room) went out with some friends to dinner. Wen (the other guy in the other room) went out with his friend Dan (but not the Dan who is Wen's roommate, another Dan) God knows where and probably won't show up again until sometime tomorrow morning. Roger and Derek went home for the weekend. Me? I know nobody here right now (all the people I do know have social lives) and am sitting here, avoiding catching up on my reading and typing my paper, staring at the monitor.
Okay, so there are probably two other people I can talk to here, but I don't know where Mike Gibson is or how to contact him, and I don't know Liz well enough to hang out with her.
I wanna go home.

So the day started off raining and dreary. At one point it was raining quite hard. But now it's cleared up, the clouds have gone away, and it's bright and sunny out. This wacky La Jolla weather...
Somehow I managed to get myself to write just enough of my rough draft to have it considered complete when it was due. I didn't turn it in, of course, because we're not supposed to. Now, normally we just have a peer review our papers; no big deal, but then again, there are other things I'd rather do with my time than critique a paper of a classmate when I have absolutely no qualifications to support why I think he/she should rewrite a section. But this time, our T.A. wants us to have our papers reviewed by two people! As if one person eager to get this over with so his/her grade won't suffer isn't enough!

OK, so first off, about Mr. Steele, well, that's just one more reason I'm glad I never had him.
It's Tuesday, so that means I only have one class today, and I just finished it. Actually, it was the first class in a long time where I didn't come close to falling asleep! And this is Vis Arts 22, the class I thought was going to suck! As to whether or not this not falling asleep is a good thing, considering it's the fourth week of the third quarter, I'm not too sure.
Man, I gotta get started on my reading. I got a paper to write, and the rough draft's due tomorrow!

Well, I added 3 customs (Superhero, Cobra, and Cobra Officer) to my Customs page and added 1 link (Covert Missions) to my Links page. Hey, a small update is better than no update at all!

Ahhh, Friday. That day of the week when classes end and the weekend begins. And I can put off homework for another weekend. You know, the first two quarters I was really good at doing my reading. This quarter I've done hardly any. Why is that? Maybe I'm just anxious to get out of this damn place and go back home for the summer.
But before I can do that, I gotta figure out my housing situation for next year.

Well, I went to the off campus housing fair today. So while I may not have anyone to stay with, I'll have plenty of options where to live. Oh, and the prices made me cringe.

Well, it's that time of year when every college student looks up and asks, "WHERE THE HELL AM I GOING TO STAY NEXT YEAR?!?!?!" Truly, a blessed event. But seriously, though, everybody I know seems to have a person to stay with. I don't. I'm screwed.

Well, I made a few changes to the menu bars of the other pages and changed the home page around a little to make it a bit more aesthetically pleasing. That is all.

Well, more and more people I know seem to be starting blogs. Arthur has one now. But I still want more people to start some. I'm just a horrible, little parasite who's always demanding more, More, MORE!!! But, hey, at least I know I'm a horrible, little parasite. :-)

Wow, it's almost as if I've lost all care for work. I'm totally unmotivated to get anything done. I just now finished a writing assignment due tomorrow, and I still have one more thing to do for that class. And guess what? That one other thing I won't be doing tonight...

Ok, so my Vis Arts 22 class isn't as bad as I first thought (for now, anyway). Any professor that can make references to the WWF, SNL's "land shark," and Star Trek III in a lecture about Neo-Classicism is ok in my book.

Well, this weekend has so far been all about avoiding homework. I've already watched two movies (Tomb Raider and Star Trek) that weren't very good to avoid this. I'm an idiot. A procrastinating idiot.

Well, I went off-campus today to get one of my readers for Third World Studies 24. Yep, I had to go out of UCSD to get a book for a UCSD class. I had to do this first quarter, too, but this time wasn't so bad.
So anyways, I cut through the med school to get to the copy shop where the readers are made, and I discovered something. The med school is really nice. I don't mean academically nice (I don't know about that one way or the other), I mean aesthetically pleasing. And all the noise from the traffic all around it doesn't seem to penetrate. Weird.

Well, it looks like Vis Arts 22 is gonna be the class that sucks this quarter. Actually, pretty much all my classes look like they're gonna suck this quarter. I already dropped the class I was wait listed for: an American History class about the presidency. I was number 100 of 113 students wait listed. Nice round number, no? Besides the fact that I wasn't officially in the class, this is an upper-division class with a high amount of writing involved. What with my other three classes all having outside papers to write, I just don't think I could handle that.

Well, I finally finished the CD for my brother today. He made the request back in January but I didn't finish it until today because he didn't know the name of a song he wanted on there until yesterday (whew!)... So now, I'm finally done with this project!

Another bit from Wil Wheaton Dot Net:
April Fool's
Well, most of you have figured it out, by now, but the truth is...
...I'm not gonna be on Enterprise. Even as a computer voice, or within the secret, dirty, late-night thoughts of Capt. Archer.
Like I guessed, it was an April Fool's joke. Most of me is relieved, but part of me is interested in what an episode of Enterprise would be with Wesley...

From Wil Wheaton Dot Net:
On to the good news! Oh, this is such amazingly good news, and it's been so hard to keep this to myself, but there have been contract talks, and all sorts of negotiations, and all that...but I can finally make the big big announcement:
The official announcement will be made on Thursday, but I've been given permission by Paramount's hired goons to make the announcement today.
In four weeks, I will be joining the cast of Enterprise in a recurring role!
Wil Wheaton back on Star Trek? While this sounds exciting, this could also be an April Fool's thing....
