Yet Another Installment of Random Thoughts for the Day:

- We got back home from Vegas last night around 8:30. I ended up about five bucks down, but if that's the worst that happened to me, I really can't complain all that much. We didn't so all that much this trip, though. We caught the Improv at Harrah's and did some shopping and a little gambling, but that's about it. It was a little odd that we didn't do Star Trek this time, especially since we were staying at the Las Vegas Hilton.

- Dad, Mike, and I started painting the higher back wall today. Dad wants to cover up the peeling and cracking twelve years of wear and tear has put on it, and he wants it done before the grapevines grow back out, so there's something of a time crunch going here. Thankfully, I will be paid for this.

- I never really told about my Christmas presents, did I? Well I scored big time this year. My own personal DVD player, highly superior to our old one, a newer, better digital camera, a four gig MP3 player, and an interactive R2-D2 robot? Boo yah!

- Since joining Myspace last week, I've connected with three old junior high classmates. Maybe that long planned reunion idea of mine will finally get off the ground this time, huh?

So, um... I'm going to Vegas! Like, right now. I'll be there overnight with my parents, poor, and most likely freezing my ass off. Fun!

Merry Christmas, everyone. Here's hoping for lots of loot, enough batteries, and not to many trips to the store to return stuff. May your day be filled with joy, and your eggnog with rum (if you're into that kind of thing). As for me, I'll be knee-deep in wrapping paper come Christmas morn, so I'm getting this post out of the way so I can blow of posting tomorrow. Good night, everybody!

I finally broke down and joined MySpace. *Sigh.* Usually it's a sign that when I finally join something it becomes too widespread to be "cool" anymore. I predict that within days MySpace will become a veritable ghost town. Tongue firmly in cheek here, folks. Actually, I'm using this to track down some old school buddies from way back. Before high school, even. And I've already gotten some results, so that's a start, right?

It's been 10 days since my last post? Wow.... Well anyways, somehow during that week I saw the other two versions of King Kong, and decided I like the newest version best, followed by the '33 version and then the '76 version. I've been watching too much TV apparently. I'm just now getting over a cold I got on Saturday, so watch out if I was around you in that time. That should also explain why I wasn't really posting at all. I was too busy sleeping! And finally, Mike came into LAX yesterday, so he's hanging around the house again for a few days.

I got to hang out with Justin yesterday. I drove over to his house to abuse his dad's connections so I could see an advance screening of King Kong. It's a great film, and the three hours go by quickly. Just make sure to go to the bathroom first. Oh, and two words before I go: Giant. Insects.

So I think I'm set on where I'll be working for the next few months. It'll be two production companies, each with two days of work a week. Sleep may become an issue, but luckily I have the three day weekend to deal with that. I'll almost certainly be moving into my grandmother's house now, so I need to get used to internet access on a dial-up connection again. Already I'm afraid.

In other news, I picked up a cheap DVD today containing four episodes of Stargate: Infinity. And, umm... yeah.... I had trouble sitting through the first episode and had to turn it off five minutes into the next one. I mean, I knew it wasn't the greatest entertainment going into it, but oh, man was it bad. I really don't know if it was worth the seven dollar pricetag.

I'm done with the three interviews I had this week. I know I got the first two, and I feel really good about the third, so it looks like I'll be busy again in the upcoming months. But this also brings up the possibility of my moving into my late grandmother's house in LA. It greatly reduces the commute length, probably saves me an hour in the morning drive, and it's free. For the moment. As it is, I have to drop by once a week to water the lawn and pick up the mail. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to actually have a physical presence there, too. We'll have to see what the future brings, I guess.

As planned, I drove back to Frank & Son's this morning to pick up those DOA figures. While I had to wait around almost two hours for the particular booth to open, I finally got them, and they're spectacular. Now they need to make more figures for this line!
