Taking mom out to lunch today, the only car available to me was the one loaded down with AX equipment. As frightening as it may seem, I actually drove out with it. We kept the car in sight as we ate - eating outside, only one person browsing the nearby shops at a time. It probably was a good thing I took the car out, too. The battery nearly died on me! A timely phone call to dad and he was with us in 5 minutes to give the car a jump. We drove it in to Pep Boys and discovered the battery did indeed need to be replaced. While there, we picked up the Escort. That we dropped off on Saturday because the Air Conditioning stopped working! And I got a flat tire! It's been a busy month for our cars.

Wonder of wonders, I'm actually back home from the Anime Expo office and it's still daylight! Of course, I seem to be towing half the department's equipment around with me, so maybe it's a good thing I'm not on the road right now, huh?

Ugh. The G.I. Joe convention's on right now, so I'm stuck making updates to yojoe for it. However, Anime Expo is next week. I've got a whole lot of stuff to deal with there. I'm being pulled in two different directions from completely different cons! It's enough to drive a guy mad. Good thing I already am.

My free time is very quickly disappearing with Anime Expo next week. In fact, I'll probably be in that hotel for about a week straight. This should be a very interesting experience for me, as last year my responsibilities for the convention were practically non-existant. I just had to show up for most of the time. Now I'll be running around managing a group of people I've only recently met. Hope I'm up to the task!

Just got back from eating dinner with a bunch of folks from AX. Lucille's BBQ in Long Beach was the place. I think we spent half the time just singing lyrics to random songs we thought would be a good theme song for the chairman. And since there were 13 of us there, the bill was huge!

It's been hard for me to sit still long enough to make a blog entry lately. Guess I just think there's not enough going on in my life. I can say that I think I may have a small obsession with Optimus Prime. I owned a few various incarnations already that I picked up here and there over the years. This weekend I picked up four more. And I purchased another over e-bay this week. And then I made an Optimus Prime wallpaper for my computer. Someone get me help! ...But not until that Prime arrives in the mail and I get to play with it a few times. Priorities, you know.

June has had one hell of a start for me! Monday and Tuesday I finished up jury duty - we went all the way to verdict with three hours of deliberation. Tuesday I wasted doing online traffic school to get rid of a ticket I got after being nabbed by a red light camera in April. Wednesday and Thursday I worked on YoJoe doing image touch ups and coding, including the single largest update I think I've ever done there. Friday was all about Anime Expo, finishing up some videos and planning out our convention converage schedule. Saturday was a general AX meeting at the convention center itself. Today was the first really free day I've had in a week, and even then I was moving beds around in my room. I've got a queen size bed now, replacing the twin bed I've had since I can remember.
