Once again, trick-or-treators to the LA house were a bust. We had a grand total of one person show up this year. Less even than last year! What's up with that? Oh well, more M&M's for me, I guess. Hey, who wants a popcorn ball?

Lego Batman is an addicting video game. I'm fairly certain I like it more than both Lego Star Wars games, though those were also enjoyable. I guess Batman has the edge on Star Wars since they don't have to use an existing storyline to finagle in the Lego elements. I don't know what's supposed to come next, so I find myself eagerly awaiting the next level to see what new gadgets or villains I come across. Having the Danny Elfman score in there is just a bonus. Though I still need one more suit for Robin! Arrgh! Oh, and for the record, I have yet to play Lego Indiana Jones, though I am not averse to the idea.

This year's Jack O'Lantern:

Actually, the fourth pumpkin I carved today. Nammy conned me into going to the SPJA Office and carving some pumpkins for Saturday's Halloween party.

In what is something of a tradition for me, I picked up a white pumpkin today. Most of the time, I use a white pumpkin to make a Jack O' Lantern. The last few years, not so much, but that's usually because I'm using stencils that require a larger palette. The white pumpkins are a bit on the small side, so shrinking down tall stencils leads to tiny carvings. It's not that I think they're too small for me to carve, it's more that the resulting image is just kinda tiny. If I'm going though the trouble to carve out something intricate, I'd like to show it off a bit, y'know?

Last Christmas dad got me an 8 gig flash drive. A welcome gift, as my biggest flash drive at that time was only 1 gigabyte. I showed it off, too. And then, sometime in late spring, I lost it. I could not for the life of me remember where it went. I was starting to think I lent it out to someone and didn't get it back. But to whom? It was an annoyance that just sat there in the background, especially as I lost and recovered other, less dramatic items. How could I find that razorblade and that sharpie I liked but not my flash drive?? Well, I finally found it on Saturday. In my jacket pocket. My Stargate jacket. While I was at Disneyland. When was I wearing my Stargate jacket in late spring? And why did I not notice it when I wore it at Comic Con?

I picked up season 3 of Robot Chicken on Tuesday. And of course, I've gone through the entire thing by now. Is it just me, or did the number or fart jokes and expletives explode for this year? Seems like they were doing it a whole lot more this time. Maybe it's just that they aren't bleeped out now. Ironically, I think I find it funnier when the curse words are bleeped out and the "nudity" of the toy is blurred. Don't ask me why I think it's funnier, though, I couldn't tell ya. Maybe it's the idea of arbitrary censorship on that which need not be censored on the DVD medium.

I just haven't had the motivation to do my work for YoJoe lately. I don't know what it is, but I look at what I need to get done, and I totally shut down. I put off doing updates, I postpone taking pictures. I blame myself for my laziness, but how do I get myself motivated enough to do the work? Eh, maybe I'm just a little burned out on the whole thing. But I know I gotta get the work done. And once I start, it should be easier to keep going. I hope.
