Picked up the last Futurama movie today. With all the news articles out there hinting at a return of this show to Fox, I almost forgot that this is, at the moment, the end of the show. Well, the second one I guess. I'm just glad that the movie ended the way it did. Without giving away anything, it's something I'd been waiting to happen for years. Of course, if the show does get picked up, well, where do they go from here?

I've moved up yet another level in the Anime Expo parent organization. More responsibilities, a few more perks. I still have to work on them for payment, though. Either way, this should be interesting.

Finished watching Brisco yesterday. While I am disappointed there are no more episodes to view, I am glad the show ended on a (mostly) complete note. Sure Dixie and Brisco didn't get together, but it was only a matter of time until they did. I am especially glad that the DVDs had extras where the show creator let us in on what would have happened for season 2. Mostly, I'm glad I don't have to wonder what that damn orb was all about anymore. Only took 16 years....

Heh, "Brisco County" had an episode with a cowboy Elvis. It's exactly as awesome and terrible as you think. I'm still loving watching these episodes, but there is one complaint I have to make. Russell and Jason agree with me on this - the theme song sucks. It starts out okay, but then moves into a boring repetition more suited to an Olympics broadcast. In fact, the theme song has been used in Olympic broadcasts. This show deserves something more classic, along the lines of "The Magnificent Seven" or "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly."

Patience seems to have paid off for me. Last week I went to CostCo with Jason, and what did I find? The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. for $16.99. That's a fair bit better than the $64.99 I've seen it run anywhere else. (For three years!) Needless to say, I picked it up. Been enjoying watching the shows ever since. Thankfully, for a TV series I haven't seen since it first ran 15 years ago, it hasn't aged horribly. And hey, maybe now I can finally figure out what the hell that damn orb was all about!

I saw "Coraline" today in 3D. A fun movie - I recommend it. It's got a decent blend of fantasy and horror, in a satisfying narrative. Look at me, I sound like a movie critic! Just watch the damn thing, alright? Now I've seen "Coraline," "The Nightmare Before Christmas," and "Corpse Bride." I should really track down a copy of "James and the Giant Peach" sometime.

It took a hell of a lot of time, and a hell of a lot of typing, but I finally got that interview up. Check it out here. Bonus! Hear my lame voice try to keep up with Wren Roberts as his interviewer!
