Went with the parents to California Adventure today so they could do some of the Food and Wine Festival events before it ends next week. They ended up going to all three wine tastings, too. I joined them for the second one, which focused on sparkling wines and found one I didn't mind too much. Earth shattering, I know.

Anime Expo prep is getting serious. With a little over a month left to go, we're a little behind in our projects. I guess I've been a little lax in managing my crew, but I'm gonna try to rectify that little situation. We're gonna sit down and pump out what we can between now and July.

Since Russell's first exposure to Star Trek was the new movie, I've gotten him to agree to watch all the others, in order. We just finished number 4. Six more movies to go, but he seems to be enjoying what he's seeing. I'm not holding out high hopes that he'll want to watch all the television series next, but if I can get him an appreciation for the franchise, I'll be happy.

Though we flew in on Sunday, Mike and his girlfriend Stacy didn't arrive until yesterday morning. I got the job of chauffeur for the day, so I picked them up from the airport in the morning. On the way over I picked up Brittany from a relative's house. We got back home and later picked up Sierra from the animal hotel. Would've been cheaper to stash her with the relatives, too, but Sierra's a dominant dog that doesn't get along well with the other family dogs. After that? Drive Mike and Stacy to Long Beach for a cruise this week! I was all over the map yesterday.

I just got back from my third and most likely last trip to Kirksville, Missouri. I was hoping to blog while I was there, but we didn't have a signal out in our cabin. Yesterday, my parents and I attended Mike's graduation ceremony from med school. He is officially a doctor now. Woo! Years of working at his goal have finally paid off. Incredibly proud of him.

Oh, we stooped at the St. Louis Arch before heading back to the airport. It is incredibly cramped in the tram to the top! And that walkway at the top is smaller than you'd think, too.

Just saw Star Trek last night on the Paramount lot. An Anime Expo acquaintance got tickets from a CHP charity event and invited a group of us along. Free food and movie?? I was so there, man. The theater there had the most comfortable seats I'd even seen in a theater, too. And I got a free hat on the way out! Sweet!

I've been trying to get a post up since Thursday night. Looks like either Blogger or my webhost is acting up and not letting me, though. I realize adding a post to explain it probably isn't going to help matters, but at least when I finally get this sorted out I'll have something posted for the record.
