Just got back from the Ice House comedy club in Pasadena. Dad got free tickets for the show tonight - Rudy Moreno's Latino Comedy Showcase - and had me invite some friends to come along. I admit I was a little uncertain how the others would react to it, but it seems like everyone had a good time. Glad we went!

I actually got dad to play a song in Beatles: Rock Band on Sunday. He did alright for his first time, though he kept messing up by trying to play the buttons like an actual guitar. Is that what one would call ironic? Oh well. He liked the game, but thought you should be able to plug a real guitar in there and play actual strings. Nice thought, but I gotta think that would still take a specialized guitar with sensors attached to the strings at some point to see if they're properly picked. And what would happen if a string broke?

Just sent in a check for a voice acting class that starts next month. Six sessions at three hours each. Should be fun. And it looks like this is finally happening!

Oh red Testor's enamel paint, why did I buy you? All your brothers and sisters are acrylic! You don't spread as thickly but you stick to everything. My fingers are splattered with flecks or red, and it's hard as hell to clean you off. And to top it off, you're still sticky when you're supposed to be dry! I am not amused with your performance.

You know, sometimes I forget that Transformers are sold in more places than just the United States and Japan. And then I get a Transformer that wasn't released here, and realize the instructions are in Korean. Thankfully, there are diagrams in the instructions, otherwise transforming this guy would be nigh impossible!

Checking out voice acting classes. Got one I've seen that seems promising. So yes, after many years of saying I want to do this, I'm actually doing something about it!

What a way to start September... with a blackout! Around 7 this morning, the power came back to the LA house, a little more than 36 hours after it went out on Monday night. Not terribly fun, enduring the heat without A/C or fans. Side effect of the Station fire it seems. Of course, when the power finally came back, the internet connection was dead. I just got online!
