Yesterday, my Thanksgiving dinner went along the lines of eating cold food from some tupperware my parents brought while they drove from one family to the other, while I sat on the bench next to the theter entrance. I actually thought as I was eating how this had to be the most pathetic Thanksgiving I had ever had. Thank goodness it wasn't my birthday this year.
While we're on the subject of birthdays, happy birthday dad! Hope you're enjoying it. That makes the last birthday in my immediate family this year, and if I recall correctly, I've mentioned every one of them.

Well, what I feared would happen if dad made me get a job now has: Edward's scheduled me to work the opening shift on Monday, my busiest school day. I knew this wouldn't work out.

The Two Towers Protest Organization
Did you ever get the feeling that there are too many people out there who have too much time on their hands, but not enough grounding in reality? This little organization here wants to change the title of the next LOTR movie because, well, I'll let their F.A.Q. page handle this:
What are the benefits to be gained by renaming "The Two Towers" movie to something more appropriate?
There are various benefits, the foremost of them being showing increased sensitivity towards the events of Sept 11th.
This site continually refers to the World Trade Center as "the two towers." Now, before, during, and after the events of Sept. 11th, I've ALWAYS heard these two towers called "the twin towers." I call it coincidence being changed to justify the protest.
Oh, and there's also this little gem:
The creators of the movie have free speech, so what makes you think they should have to change the name of the movie?
We believe that Peter Jackson and New Line Cinema's actions are in fact hate speech. The movie is intentionally being named The Two Towers in order to capitalize on the tragedy of September 11. Clearly, you cannot deny the fact that this falls under hate speech. We believe that if they will not willingly change the name, the government should step in to stop the movie's production or to force a name change.
Umm... they're using a title made 50 YEARS AGO! How could this possibly be used to cash in on Sept. 11th?? The story has nothing to do with the events, the book the movie is based on has the same decades-old title, and oh yeah, this movie was in production BEFORE Sept. 11th!
Like I said, some people are just trying to find something to protest.

Man, I gotta stop thinking about the girls I know on campus. It can only end in disaster.

Happy Birthday to me! Woo, no longer a teenager!
Okay, now that that's over with, lemme tell you about yesterday. I think it should be titled:
Oh God, I'm Working Again!!!
Yeah, I did my first day at Edward's yesterday. The ticket system is completely different from when I worked there before, so I spent half the day trying to figure out how to enter in all the different gift passes and such that Regal Entertainment Group (the company that now owns Edward's) puts out. What's pretty neat is that instead of typing on an extremely dirty keyboard, we now use touchscreen monitors. Although, I hear that some screens aren't calibrated right. Oh, and no more white shirt and bow tie for me (probably my biggest dislike of the job), now we have actual shirts that are actually pretty sturdy. It's a nice maroon color, and it's more like a shirt I would wear normally, so it's not too much of a change for me.

Anybody else watch the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show last night? Oh my god... It was a great show to watch, but it got a little depressing after a while knowing that I'll never have a shot with anyone as attractive as those ladies.

My partner didn't show up for class today (she wasn't feeling well yesterday), so I guess I'll perform my scene on Monday.

Well, I was somewhat stressed going into this week, but since almost everything's worked itself out, I'm doing fine. I still have a scene to act tomorrow with a partner, but going over it tis afternoon, it looks like our scene is decent. Now, I just gotta memorize my lines...

I'd like to thank the visitor from mindspring.com for being my 1000th hit since I put the counter in way back on March 18. For the record, the 1000th hit occured yesterday at 11:58:58 pm. Wow, that was almost 8 months to the day to accumulate that many hits. Now, I realize many websites get multiple hits of 1000 a day, but for a small website like mine, I'm stoked!

Due to some legislative problems on my school account (I had a hold that apparently disappeared with a phone message), I was unable to register classes until today. I'm surprised I was able to get into 3 of my classes. I'm wait listed in one, but hopefully I'll get into it. In other news, the times of my lecture classes will make next quarter sleep-deprived.

Well, I did end up going home this weekend. And I managed to get re-hired at Edward's. It's sort of a Pyhrric victory. As a consequence, I'll only be at school until Wednesday this week, since I need to go to the theater on Thursday to finish the hiring process. I'll only be missing one one-hour class.
Oh, I also found out that all the really hot chicks of La Jolla work at the BJ's Brewery Restaurant. That was a pleasant find.

Dad wants me to come home this weekend. I don't think it's a good idea. I have to enroll for next quarter's classes in 2 hours, I need to see a school play and write a report for a class on it, and I need to meet with my partner for a class project. He wants me to come home to discuss taking away my Winter Break with a seasonal job. Gee, I wonder why I don't wanna go home this weekend...

It's about that time to register classes again. I really hope I don't have to completely rearrange my class schedule because some sections are full, it's hard enough to arrange these things as it is.
P.S. My birthday's in 9 days. Anybody wanna come to my house to do something? Presents not necessary!

The Return of The Random Thoughts for the Day!:
I just finished the last midterm of fall quarter. I don't like multiple midterms in one class.
Don't you just hate it when you overthink a question and waste vital test minutes trying to figure out what's wrong?
I saw Star Wars Episode II on IMAX Saturday. Aside from being really big, the film looked like it had full-screen proportions and had a bunch of pointless edits. (Are they worried about time or something?)
I got the widescreen Episode II DVD yesterday. Boo-yah!

Hi, everybody! (Hi, Dr, Nick!)
Uh... never mind....
So, I finally have my major declared. Now I can sign up for the classes I need and finally have a full schedule. Oh, and no more awkward moments when people ask me what my college course of study is!

Following Wil Wheaton's lead, I have forgone using Internet Explorer. I'm now using Mozilla as my default web browser. It takes a little getting used to, (Mozilla uses Netscape programming) but I'm already liking some of the features. It comes with an automatic pop-up blocker (even better than my previous one), and has the ability to block cookies from entire domains. That way, if you have a website you like to go to, but constantly gives spy-ware cookies, you don't have to run Ad-Aware after every visit.

Well, this weekend is a three day weekend for most, but for me, it's a 4 day weekend! One of my classes on has one lecture section, on Monday. Since that day's a holiday, the discussion section on Tuesday has also been cancelled. That's my only class Tuesday. Hence, 4-day weekend!
