Wait... you're actually reading this?!

Oh, and for the record, I found that manga I was looking for on Monday today. Still reading it.

I bought the Back to the Future trilogy on DVD on a whim two weeks ago. The price was right in Target, the one I bought before was Mike's and with him in Missouri, and that copy was full screen. Now I've got the proper widescreen selection. Finally got around to watching the first film with Roger tonight. I still like this movie, but I'm still sticking to my unusual ranking of preference - I like the second film best, followed by the third, and then the first. I just think it's genius to go back into your first film and mess around with the events while trying not to change anything!

Last weekend was my first weekend in quite a while where I didn't have anything planned beforehand. It was nice, just sitting at home and relaxing without worrying about where I had to be next. Of course, I didn't spend all my time at home. I went out to Frank & Son's, the bookstore, Wal-Mart. Oddly enough, no Disneyland. Maybe there's some hope for me after all.

I finally located volume 13 of Love Hina with the cover variant I wanted! Hallelujah! It only took nearly two years to complete a series that was already done when I started! But I guess that's what I get for being anal about it. At least my books will match. Ironically, I found it when looking for the 13th volume of the newest series put out by the same author. It was at the Barnes & Noble by my work, too. And before anyone gives me crap about, yes, I had looked there for it before. Y'know, it's gonna be weird not having to check for this any time I walk into a bookstore now....

It's been an interesting and long couple of days at work. Finalizing some agreements led to a 10 and a half hour day yesterday as my boss tried to get the wording just right on a 22 page document. Said document was then delivered by me to an office in Santa Monica this morning. Out of the way, much? I kinda want this week to be over, just to get some rest! I've worked over 8 hours every day since Monday!

I keep getting spam in my guestbook. Freakin' annoying, man. Luckily, I get an e-mail every time someone signs the damn thing so the spam doesn't stay there too long. Hopefully. I kinda wish I could add one of those alpha-numeric things where you have to type in what's displayed to post. Would be nice, but I just don't have the urge to track down on the net how to do it. The spam's not too bad right now.

Happy Birthday mom! And Happy Valentine's Day to those of you lucky enough to have a valentine. You people and your "romance." It's enough to make the rest of us bitter! Not me, though, I'm as sensible as can be. If you need me, I'll be curled up in a little ball in the corner trying to decipher where I went so wrong.

(Oh, and if this post seems too depressing, read it as I intended - it's a joke, people!)

I meant to make a post last night, but the power went out! At about 8:30, the power just suddenly cut out, momentarily worrying me about corrupted data on my computer, but glad that at that particular moment I wasn't doing much of any importance. Finding nothing but some tiny tea lights left over from Halloween for my pumpkin, I drove out to Target to take my time buying some candles. Boy, candles can be cheap - it's the candle holders that get ya! Anyway, I bought a bunch of those thick, squat candles, 'cause they had the cheapest stand - a three dollar metal plate. While I was there, I bought mom's birthday present. The power finally came back on around midnight, for those of you so inclined as to care.
