Not too much went on today. I finally bought a copy of Season 9 of the Simpsons. It was on sale and I finally found a copy in a Target, after checking about 5 on Tuesday when I briefly drove back to the Amalia house. Today was more submitting resumes and organizing my stuff.

Had a big day today - left home early in the morning to drive to Nammy's house. From there we went to Disneyland for a few hours to check out the pirate redeco to Tom Sawyer's island. There are some neat little changes there - new caves, some shipwrecks and even audio from Davy Jones. Given that we were only going for a short visit, we were back in the car by 11:30. From there it was back to Nammy's house to start working on the AX badges. Several hours of that before dinner and returning back home.

Yesterday was the staff barbecue for AX. Lots of people there I didn't know, and spending money to buy more chips. I should be reimbursed for that though, so no worries. It's going to be an interesting convention, judging by the company that was there.

I'm counting down the hours until I'm done with my last day at work here. Since the parents are out of town for the weekend, I'll have the house to myself. Unfortunately, nobody seems available for tonight. D'oh! S'alright though, we'll see Pirates tomorrow. Actually, I've already seen the film. Meeting Justin this week to drop off some DVDs turned into watching the movie last night. Fun time had by all. All the plotlines seemed to be resolved, some characters from the first film returned, much to my delight, and not everyone made it. I was kind of annoyed at the short resolution to Norrington's story, though. Such a major character deserved something better.

One week down, one to go. I've finally gotten to wear contacts for the first time since the hospital visit. Glad to be wearing them too, as my eyes had gotten too used to the contacts and didn't see as well with the glasses. I had a small fear that I had down permanent damage to my eyes and the fuzziness with the glasses was an extension of that. Oh yeah, don't ask me how I fared while driving, just trust that I didn't hit anything.

After months of uncertainty, I see a light at the end of the tunnel! I turned in my two weeks' notice at my job yesterday. No, I don't have another job lined up, but it's a great feeling knowing I won't have to deal with my boss much longer. I spoke to my parents about it before making it official, and it was alright with them. If it takes a while to find a new job, I can always list my work with AX and Yojoe on my resume.

Oh, and the medicine the doctor gave me has been working wonders. No pain in my eye at all!

It's been an odd day for me. After noticing my contacts weren't agreeing with me yesterday, I took them off when I got back to the house around 7. I was fine with my glasses when going to bed. At that point the real fun began. I endured a few hours of burning, throbbing, and stabbing pain in my left eye before breaking down and calling my dad around 2:45 in the morning. It felt like a clump of something was stuck in my eyelid. Dad drove to the house and then took me to the emergency room at a hospital in Anaheim. The doctor there told me I had ulcers on my eyes. Momentary panic set ion before he went on to explain they were bacterial ulcers. He gave me some antibiotic gel for the germs and vicodin for the pain. Dad drove me back to the house in Yorba Linda when I finally went to bed around 5:30. I woke up about 9 hours later! Obviouly, I missed work today. I'm still not certain I'll be ready for work tomorrow.
