Here we are at the end of November already. I don't know about you, but for me this month went by incredibly fast. Oh well. Aside from enjoying the sound of rainfall outside the windows today, I got the last of my birthday presents (belated from the mail or from the sender being out of town), so I suddenly have a new boost of money from gift cards. I like gift cards, but when I get them for birthday presents, I usually don't get to spend them on myself. The nature of my birthday's date means I usually end up spending them on Christmas presents. That's just the nature of the beast, though, and in no way should discourage anyone from giving me gift cards as presents. I do appreciate them!

Celebrated dad's birthday today. Other than eating out for lunch and dinner and opening some presents, it was a low-key affair. But then, most of his birthdays tend to be that way. The only other thing to talk about was me finally painting up a hat for my Pimp Daddy Destro figure. Hopefully I'll have it finished tomorrow. From there I just need to find some kind of cane for him and I should have some amusing pics to take.

Well, uh, guess I lost track of time to keep up with my postings here. To recap: Thje parents and I saw Enchanted Wednesday night. Really fun movie, thoughy my enjoyment of it probably benefited from all those viewings of Disney films I had to sit through Fridays after school at Carden. Thanksgiving was fairly straightforward, putting up the Christmas lights in the day, see family at night. We were late, of course, and I really would have liked Mike to be home to help me get those lights up. But as it was, I just had some really tired arms afterwards. My birthday was fairly busy - took a few hours in the morning to do some Black Friday shopping in places where there wasn't much of a crowd, then had lunch and a guided tour at Disneyland, followed by dinner and a movie with friends back home. Over the weekend mom and dad took off for my aunt's cabin, while I used Saturday to drive down to Chula Vista to meet some people from a G.I. Joe message board I frequent. It was early Sunday by the time I drove back. Many hours later the parents came home and I finally got to have a birthday dinner with both mom and dad.

I had a blast in Vegas and actually managed to avoid spending all my money! Of course, I can't really buy anything for myself at the moment, my birthday's Friday! Though I have been giving less-than-subtle hints to mom about what I want then. She kinda wouldn't know otherwise!

My birthday's in a week, and as part of that, my friends and I will be in Vegas over the weekend. Knowing this was happening, mom and dad managed to cram in an afternoon showing of Beowulf, so I could watch it before the weekend ended. Saw it in digital 3d, too! Fun times. Now I'm just waiting for my ride to show up, then it's 4 hours cramped in a car until Vegas.

Finally got around to reformatting the one page on this site that never quite fit in aesthetically. Yes, my fanfic now looks like it belongs on this website! Amazing, I know! What's even more amazing is the amount of editing I needed to do to get it to display write without a crapload of unnecessary code. That's what I get for making a webpage in Word.

I took my roommate Russell to Disneyland yesterday, ostensibly to buy that annual pass he'd been thinking of getting, but more so I could go to the park with someone besides myself for a change. Ah, Tuesdays during the school year at Disneyland. Walk-ons at space Mountain, Haunted Mansion Holiday, and California Screamin'. In fact, the only ride that had a line was the Submarine Voyage, but we decided to get on that another time. Part of the joys of having an annual pass, Russell discovered. Since the last time he was at the park was in 2004, there were plenty of new rides and additions for him to see. We hit (in order) Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion Holiday, Pirates of the Caribbean, Pirate's Lair at Tom Sawyer's Island, Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters, Disneyland: The First 50 Magical Years, High School Musical 2 Pep Rally, Monster's Inc.: Mike and Sully to the Rescue, Mission Tortilla Factory tour, Boudin Bakery Tour, and California Screamin'. After that, we took a quick walkthrough of the hotels on the way out of the park. I think it was a rather nice day, all in all. The best part, for me, was having Buzz stop three times during our ride. Since the sensors and lasers don't stop, we kept racking up our scores. I ended up more than doubling my previous high score!
