Finally got to ride Toy Story Mania for the first time today. I intended to go on it a lot sooner, but I was only there a few times after the ride opened and nobody in the groups I was with wanted to wait in the line. Then, for some, reason, I just didn't get to Disneyland this summer. Well, no longer! It was the last day of August and I just had to get in before September rolled around. Fortunately, the line wasn't all that long. Unfortunately, that ride killed my arms. Much like I felt after first playing Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters, my forearms were incredibly sore. Not a bad thing though, since I immensely enjoyed my time on the ride.

Finally got to see Clone Wars today. It wasn't great, yeah, but it wasn't as bad as all I was hearing on the internet. Sure, the plot's a bit juvenile, but this is really just a pilot episode for a Cartoon Network show. I wasn't expecting a whole lot going in, but I did get a good deal of enjoyment out of it. That's kind of the point, isn't it?

Sierra's been doing remarkably well adapting to only three legs. The first night we brought her home from the hospital I slept downstairs with her, but while I was asleep she went and climbed the stairs by herself the get to the parents' bedroom! Her cast is already off, and the staples should be removed any day now. It's just too bad that she couldn't fly back with Mike on Sunday as we originally planned. Hopefully she'll be back home with him before too long.

This week I've been making a mad dash to complete a video for Anime Expo's Annual Staff Dinner. Pretty much just a photo slideshow/retrospective of the last con that we can all enjoy and pat ourselves on the back saying how good a job we did. I'm adding in some stuff to liven it up, though. Should be fun once all is said and done.

This just kills me:

Sierra will be going to the vet again tomorrow. I'm not sure if they'll be performing the surgery then, or just setting up the appointment. Either way, they should probably act soon. I can't really tell if the tumor is getting any larger, but her limping is certainly becoming more pronounced. And though she isn't whimpering or anything, I gotta think she's feeling some pain from it. At any rate, I would really appreciate it if they pulled out those staples they left in her a week ago. I'm afraid to go near the damn things.

I've been home alone all week watching over the dogs. Poor Sierra's got a cartilaginous cancer growing in her shoulder, so I've been having to look out for her more. It's not as bad a cancer as we initially thought, so there is some hope of recovery. In the meantime, I just have to watch her for signs of pain and give her some pain meds accordingly. They took a biopsy sample from her on Sunday, so I've also got to make sure the staples holding the incision closed stay clean. No quite what I was expecting to do when I agreed to this!
