Though the funeral service for my grandfather was on the 20th, we did not see his burial site, and instead the cemetery service was held at a shelter there. During the week we were notified of his actual burial location, so we drove out this morning to see it. In addition to myself and my parents, there was also my grandmother, my aunt, her husband, one of their children, and my uncle. Grandpa is buried in a new section of the Veteran's cemetery in Riverside. Well, I'm not sure "new" is the proper term, but his plot has yet to be landscaped, and we don't have a gravestone for him yet. Just a metal cardholder planted in the dirt. A setup I wasn't terribly thrilled with, but there are gravestones for others who had passed two weeks prior to his, and grass on burials from September. Hopefully by January he'll have a decent looking plot. Gorgeous view of the surrounding mountains, though. We all choked up when grandma approached his plot and through tears said all her children were there to see him. Just typing this, the tears have come back....

If today's Thanksgiving, then it means mom's already had me put up the Christmas lights. I really wish she would wait until tomorrow, at least. I do like to keep these two holidays separate, y'know? That goes double for you KOLA FM! Startin' the friggin' Christmas music last week? You're dead to me until the end of next month. Oh well. We skipped putting on those terrible icicle lights this time, but mom's already complained about their absence. She is the only one who likes them!

I just received the news that my grandfather passed away about 20 minutes ago. He was 94.

My grandfather has been in declining health over the last two years. And now he may be in his final days. Obviously, it's a bit of an emotional time right now.

Got a hundred dollar GI Joe playset in the mail for free. There's a catch, though - I have to review it. Okay, that doesn't sound terribly hard, I know, but this sucker is huge, and I have to decent pictures with good lighting. Getting overhead shots is extremely tricky!

Went to my first voice acting class this week. As it was the first day, it was mostly about making a list of the kinds of voices I can do. To that end, I read off a lot of scripts and just spoke with voices that came to mind. Now I've got some homework - write down a few lines of text to help me remember these voices/characters. Anyone wanna chat with me?
